Our Story and Age Verification
Charter Oak Brewing Company LLC (COBC) is
a craft beer brewery which will be located in Connecticut and will
feature hand crafted innovative beers such as Pale Ales, IPA (India Pale
Ales), Brown Ales and several seasonal, more robust beers. We want to
offer you Connecticut's best beers. Our plan is to brew small batches,
frequently, of each style for our craft beers to offer you the very
freshest beer. We are introducing our first style, the 1687 Brown Ale in
June. It will be distributed throughout the state of Connecticut

Our brewery is in the planning stages and our model is to be a small, independent, microbrewery with total focus to brew the freshest, best beer and market world class, premium, niche craft beers.
This year, P. Scott Vallely, an entrepreneur that has operated businesses for over 30 years, decided sell his paper company and focus on creating and growing a micro craft brewery around the Southwestern, Connecticut area and market innovative beers for the Northeast beer drinkers. Vallely has always had a passion and commitment to brewing only the finest beer and strive to make our beers visible and available to all beer drinkers. A response to a recent interview sums up his position "I am excited to finally follow my dreams!" He has been an avid home brewer for nearly thirty years and has been test brewing several versions of the soon to be announced Charter Oak Beers, since 2005.
The brewery and our brews are currently in the planning stages for our Southwestern Connecticut beer brewery. Our initial plan is to offer four year round flagship brands, IPA (india Pale Ale), Pale Ale, Brown Ale, and an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) as well as four more complex and robust seasonal brews – one for each season of the year. All our hand crafted beers will only use the freshest barley, choice hops, and brew with only the purest of water.
