Who we are

We recently were awarded #1 brewery and taproom in Connecticut by a public vote (288,500 votes) as best brewery and taproom in the State of Connecticut.

Charter Oak Brewing Co. is a 10,000 square-foot facility in Danbury, CT that includes a 20 barrel brewing system as well as a very unique pilot 5 barrel system and an inviting taproom with 10 rotating draft lines. We use only the finest local ingredients and brew in small batches to ensure you are enjoying the freshest beer possible. Our taproom is a place where you can gather with friends and family, and you will be TREATED like family because we just love our fellow beer drinkers and are passionate about what we do. Come visit us, and enjoy a pint of your favorite beer or sample a bunch with our flights! We will even fill a growler to take home with you. Want to learn more about what we do? We love to give tours of our facility so you can see exactly what goes into making that liquid gold you love so much. Hungry? No problem. We often have food trucks dishing out drool-worthy delights, and we also have a 3-inch thick binder with menustfrom local restaurants that can be delivered to your table. Alternatively, we are even cool with you bringing in your own food if that strikes your fancy! We want you to hang out with us for hours, so we have a big screen TV and lots of games like giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, corn hole and much more. Our goal is to make our taproom a destination for you and your favorite people to gather and enjoy each others company. Please note, you must be 21 or over to sit in our brewery section. Kids under 21 are welcome in the Taproom & Biergarten.

PET POLICY

We are DOG FRIENDLY in our outdoor Biergarten space as long as pups are friendly & leashed. Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs in the taproom  or brewery section.
